Battery bank

Tick what runs in your rig, say how long you’ll be off hookups, and the bank sizes itself. Same load table and battery picks as the original Megawatt calculator.

How the math works

Load over the trip is daily Wh × days. Solar offset is solar W × sun hours × 0.75 × days. The bank must hold the larger of load minus offset or 1.5 × daily Wh, and never less than 1,280 Wh. Peak draw over 3,000 W moves to 24V, over 5,000 W to 48V. The calculator then picks the smallest Vatrer battery at that voltage that covers the need, or parallels the biggest one.

These are the same load table, efficiency, floor, and battery links as the calculator on the current Megawatt site.
