How the forecast is figured

Open-Meteo’s forecast gives daily shortwave radiation on a flat surface in megajoules per square meter. Divided by 3.6, that’s peak sun hours. Each day is sun hours × panel watts × 0.75, the efficiency the Megawatt calculators use.

The charge line is bookkeeping: start at the charge you set, add the day’s solar, subtract your daily use, and cap at full and empty. It isn’t a battery monitor reading, and shade, tilt, and heat aren’t in it.
