How the math works

Class baselines and the notes on aerodynamics come from the live Megawatt widget. Its script was cut off in the middle of the fifth-wheel branch, before any gallon formula, so that part is gone. Water uses 8.34 lb per gallon. The optional estimate uses gallons saved = trip ÷ MPG × (1 − new speed² ÷ old speed²), which assumes drag dominates. Treat it as a ceiling.
